A Holistic Therapy Approach that Honors the Mind-Body Connection
Holistic therapy addresses the “whole” person. It acknowledges that traumatic moments, thoughts, and beliefs get stored in the mind and the body. In order to truly heal, we must address our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Everyone’s journey is different.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to meet you wherever you are on your healing journey.
Together, we’ll explore how our mental health affects our body and spirit, so that we can develop strategies to restore a sense of safety in the body and lead to more lasting and comprehensive change.
My holistic approach primarily focuses on issues related to:
Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Communication
Relationships
Life Transitions
Loss and Grief
Stress Landscape
We live in a chaotic time. Our nervous systems have been overstimulated and traumatized by a global pandemic and the subsequent isolation, ongoing political and social unrest, and the constant barrage of notifications and news coverage. Many of us feel anxious and tired. “Burnout” has become the new buzzword. With so much that feels out of our control, I encourage clients to return to their bodies and into the present moment. It is our inner worlds that we have the greatest control over and the most power to change.
Adults
Life transitions, body image, perfectionism, relationships, self-empowerment, motivation, self-worth, grief/loss, stress/overwhelm/burnout, anxiety, depression, parenting
Who I Serve
Young Adults
Transitions, life skills, emotional regulation, coping skills, adjustment difficulties, social skills, depression, anger, and difficulty with peers or family
I’ve experienced, and have seen consistent proof in my practice, that when we learn how to take care of ourselves, we improve our own lives and the lives of those around us: our children, family, friends, and community. This is why I center my therapy around a holistic framework that approaches healing as both an inner journey and a shared journey in relationship with others.
I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.
